Misdemeanors comitted within the said County.
Whereas the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Saint George
the Martyr Southwark
in the County of Surry Have at this present Session Exhibited
their Petition and Appeal Settingforth That by an Order under the Hands and Seals of

two of his Majestys Justices of the Peace
in
and for the City and Liberty of Westminster
in the County of Middlesex
(one
whereof being of the Quorum) bearing date the Sixth day of October last Mary Ellis< no role >
wife of Robert Ellis< no role >
then gone from her and their Child to wit, Hannah< no role >
aged Six
Months were removed from the Parish of saint James within the Liberty of Westminster
in the said County of Middlesex
to the Said Parish of Saint George the Martyr
Southwark
in the County of Surry as the place of their last legal Settlement whereby
the Petitioners conceived themselves to be Aggrieved Now upon hearing of the said
Appeal in the presence and hearing of the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor
of the said Parish of Saint James and they consenting by their Council to the Allowing
and the said Order of the said two Justices is hereby Vacated and setaside and it is
further Ordered that the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of
Saint George the Martyr Southwark
Do forthwith Convey and Deliver back the said
Poor Woman and her Child (together with a Copy of this Order) unto the Churchwardens
and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of Saint James or to some or one of them
who are hereby required to receive and provide for then until they can free them
selves from the Charge thereof by due course of law And it is also further Ordered
that the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of Saint James
do forthwith pay or cause to be paid to the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor
of the said Parish of Saint George the Martyr Southwark
the Sun of Two pounds
and Five shillings for their Expences in relieving and maintaining the said Poor
woman and her Child since their removal.
