Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
Parish of Stretham in the County of
Surry and to each and every of them.

WHEREAS Complaint hath been made unto Us, two of
His Majesty's Justices of the Peace in and for the County
of Middlesex (whereof one is of the Quorum) by the Church-
Warden and Overseers of the Poor of that Part of the Parish of
Saint Andrew, Holborn, which lies above the Bars , in the said
County: That Robert Thackerre< no role > Cordwainer Martha< no role > his
Wife and their five Children (Vizt) Robert< no role > aged Eleven Years
Ann< no role > aged Nine Years James< no role > aged six Years John< no role > aged
three Years and Nathaniel< no role > aged two Months are
lately come to inhabit in the said Part of the said Parish of St.
Andrew, Holborn , not having gained a legal Settlement there,
nor produced any Certificate owning them or any of them to be
settled elsewhere: And it appeareth unto Us the said Justices,
and we do adjudge, That they are likely to be
chargeable to the said Part of the said Parish of St. Andrew,
Holborn , and upon Examination of the said Robert Thackerre< no role >

taken upon Oath, it
farther appeareth unto Us, and we do likewise adjudge, That
the Parish of Stretham aforesaid in the said County
of Surry
is the Place of the last legal Settlement of the said
Robert Thackerre Martha his Wife and their
said five Children Robert Ann James John and Nathaniel

These are therefore in His Majesty's Name, to Charge and Com-
mand the Church-Warden and Overseers of the Poor of the said
Part of the said Parish of Saint Andrew, Holborn , forthwith
to remove and convey the said Robert Thackerre Martha
his Wife and their said five Children

from the said Part of Saint Andrew, Holborn ,
to thesaid Parish of Stretham aforesaid in the said
County of Surry

and deliver them
to the Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor there, or to
some or one of them, who are hereby required to provide for
them according to Law: Given under our Hands and
Seals this First Day of November One Thousand
Seven Hundred and Seventy
