To the [..] overseers of the poor of the Liberty
of Norton Folgate
in the said County and to the churchwardens and overseers of
the poor of the Parishof Saint Mary Aldermanbury
in the City of London
and to each and every of them

UPON the complaint of the [..] overseers of the poor
of the Liberty of Norton Folgate
aforesaid in the said County of Middlesex unto us
whose names are hereunto set and seals affixed, being two of his majesty's
justices of the peace in and for the said County of Middlesex
and one of us the quorum, that Margaret
Ivory
< no role > Wife of Thomas Ivory< no role > (who is gone an ag and lefther)
and her two Instant Children to wit Sarah< no role > aged four years
and Thomas< no role > Aged Twelve Months or there abouts
have come to inhabit in the said Liberty of Norton
Folgate not having gained a legal settlement there, nor produced
any certificate owning them to be
settled elsewhere, and that the said Margaret Ivory< no role > and her
said two Instant Children are
likely to be chargeable to the said Liberty of Norton
Folgate We the said justices upon due proof made
thereof, as well upon the examination of the said Margaret Ivory< no role >
upon oath, as otherwise, and likewise upon
due consideration had of the premisses, do adjudge the same to be true:
and we do likewise adjudge, that the lawful settlement of them the said
Margaret Ivory< no role > and her said two Instant Children
is in the said Parish of Saint Mary Aldermanbury in
the said City of London
We do there fore require you ther said [..] overseers of the
poor of the said Liberty of Norton Folgate
or some or one of you to [..] the said Margaret Ivory< no role > and
her said two Instant Children
from and out of your said Liberty of Norton Folgate
to the said Parish of St Mary Aldermanbary
and them to deliver to the churchwardens and
overseers of the poor there, or to some, or one of them, together with
this our order, or a true copy thereof; And we do also hereby require you
the said churchwardens and overseers of the poor of the said Parish
of Saint Mary Aldermanbary receive and provide for them
asinhabitants of your Parish Given under our hands
and seals the Twelfth day October
in the year of our lord one thousand seven hundred and Seventy
