To the Church Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
Parish of Saint Mary Islington
in the County of Middlesex
and to the Church Wardens and Overseers of the Poor
of the Parish of Ridge
in the County of Hutford

WHEREAS Complaint hath been made by you the
Church Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said
Parish of Saint Mary Islington
unto us whose Hands and Seals are
hereunto set, two of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace in and
for the said County of Middlesex (and one
of us of the Quorum) that Anne Danur< no role > , Widow of John
Danur
< no role > lately deced [..] with her five Children, that is to
say Mary< no role > Aged about Ten Years, Rebecca< no role > Aged about Six
Years, John Thomas< no role > Aged about four years, Fanny< no role > Aged
about Two Years and Joseph< no role > Aged Eight Months hath
lately intruded into your said Parish of Saint Mary Islington
there to inhabit as Parishioners contrary to the Laws relating
to the Settlement of the Poor, and there likely to become
chargeable, if not timely prevented: AND WHEREAS, upon
due Examination and Enquiry made into the Premises, as well
as on the Oath of the said Anne Danur< no role >
it appears unto Us, we accordingly adjudge, that the said
Anne Danur with her five Children are
like to become chargeable unto the said Parish of Saint Mary
Islington and that the last legal Place of
Settlement of the said Anne Danur and her five Children
is in the said Parish of
Ridge

THESE are therefore in his Majesty's Name, to order and require
you the said Church Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
Parish of Saint Mary Islington aforesaid, that you
or some of you, doth forthwith remove and convey the said Anne
Danur
< no role > with her five Children, Mary, Rebecca, John Thomas,
Fanny and Joseph from your said Parish of Saint Mary
Islington to the said Parish of Ridge
and them deliver
to the Church Wardens and Overseers of the Poor there, or some
or one of them, together with this our Warrant or Order,or a
true Copy hereof : whereby they are likewise required, in his
Majesty's Name, and by Virtue of the Statutes in such Case
made, forth with to receive the said Anne Danur< no role > and her
five Children
into their said Parish and Provide for them
as their own Parishioners GIVEN under our Hands and Seals
the First Day of October in the Year of
our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Seventy
