At the General Session of the Peace of Our Lord the King
holden for the County of Middlesex at Hicks Hall in Saint
John Street in the said County (by Adjournment) on Thursday
the Sixth day of December in the Eleventh Year of the Reign
of our Sovereign Lord George the Third King of Great
Britain Etc Before John Hawkins< no role > , Benjamin Cowley< no role > , Saunders
Welch
< no role > , Thomas Niccoll< no role > Esquires and others their fellows Justices
of our said Lord the King assigned to Keep the Peace in the
County aforesaid and also to hear and determine divers
Felonies Trespasses and other Misdemeanors committed in the
same County

Whereas the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of
Saint Olave in Hart Street in the City of London (Did at the last General
Quarter Session of the Peace held for this County in the Month of October
last Exhibit their Petition and Appeal Settingforth That by Virtue of an
Order or Pass Warrant under the hands and Seals of Philip Dyot< no role > and
Stephen Clarke< no role > Esquires two of his Majestys Justices of the Peace in and
for the County of Middlesex (one being of the Quorum) dated the Twenty
fourth day of September last past Eleanor Root< no role > Widow of George Root< no role >
deceased was removed and Conveyed From the Parish of Saint Giles in the
Fields in the said County of Middlesex to the said Parish of Saint Olave in
Hart Street as the Place of her last legal settlement Whereby the Petitioners
conceived themselves Aggrieved Which said Appeal was duly Adjourned unto
this day Now upon hearing of the said Appeal in the presence of the
Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the said Parish of Saint Giles
in the Fields and no one Appearing on behalf of the Churchwardens and
Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of Saint Olave Hart Street
Although Solemnly called It is Ordered that the said Order or Pass Warran
of the said two Justices be and the same is hereby Confirmed accordingly
And it is further Ordered that the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor
of the said Parish of Saint Olave Hart Street do Maintain and provide for
the said poor womanuntil they can free themselves
from the charge thereof by due course of law
