This Indenture Witnesseth that George Smith< no role > by and with
the Consent and Approbation of Samuel Coss Esqr and charge
Chandler his Guardians (Testified by their ring parish as to and
Executing Rere of)
deth put himself Apprentice to Stephen Borne< no role > of SunBury in the County
of Middlesex Surgeon and Another
to tearn his Art. and with her (after the Manner of an Apprentice) to serve from the
day of the date of these Presentsunto the full End and
Term of Seven Years from thence next following to be fully compleat and ended
During which Term the said Apprentice his Master faithfully shall serve his secrets keep
his lawful commands everywhere gladly do: he shall do no Damage to his said Master nor see to be done of
others but to his Power shall let or forthwith give Warning to his said Master of the same he shall not
waste the Goods of his said Master nor lend them unlawfully to any
he shall not play at Cards, Dice Tables. or any other unlawfull
Games, whereby his said Master may have any less with his own Goods or others during the said Term,
without Licence of his said Master he shall neither buy nor sell be shall hall not haunt Taverns or Play house
nor absent himself from his said Masters Service day or Night unlawfully: But in all things as a faithful
Apprentice he shall be have himself towards his said Master and all his during the said Term
And the said Stephen Boone< no role > for and in Consideration of the Sum of 3 [..] and
five Pounds of lawful Mone of Great Britain to him in hand Ward by the said Samuel Car< no role >
and George Chandler< no role > at or before he Execution hereof the except where of is hereby Acknowledge [..]
the said Apprentice in the Art of a Surgeon and Apothecary which to seth by the best Means that he
can shall teach and instruct or cause to be taught and instructed Fanding unto the said Apprentice
sufficient Meet Drink andLodging and all other Necessaries during the said Term.

And for the true Performances of all and every the said Covenants and Agreements either of the said
Parties bindeth himself unto the other by these Presents In Witness whereof the Parties above named to these
Indentures interchangeably have put their Hands and Seals the Thirteenth Day of August and
in the Sixth Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the third by the Grace of God of
Great Britain France and Ireland KING Defender of the saith and in the Year of our Lord One Thousand
Seven Hundred and Sixty Six

As The Indenture Covent. Artide Contract must bear date the day it is executed and what
Money or other thing is given or Contracted for with the Clerk or Apprentice must be
inserted in words at length and the duty paid to the Stamp Office if in London or within
the weekly Bills of Mortality within One Month after the Execution and if in the Country and
out of the said Bills of Mortality within Two Months to a Distributor of the Stamps or his Substi-
tute otherwise the Indent will be void the Master or Mistress forfeit Fifty Pounds and another
Penalty and the Apprentice be disable a to follow his Trade or be made free
