which the City pay a Rent of £50.-a year
and that he pays to the City £30,-a year for
the use of it; that there are about 16. or 17.
Rooms in the press Yardwhich prisoners, may re [..]
by Indulgence he Admitted to be in upon Payment of a
Stipulated Fee
that these Rooms if fitted up
with Barracks would hold 3. or 4. prisoners
in a Room and a prisoner not Committed
for a Capital offence may have a Room to
{himself if he can pay for it, and that there
are in all Gaols Appartments appropriated
for the better sort of Prisoners-That he
Lets one or two Rooms in the upper part
of the Gaol on the Master Felons side
and two on the Master Debtors side
That there are 8. or 9. Rooms in the press yard
unfurnished where he puts prisoners for
Slight offences when the Gaol is full but as
