The Information of Wlln. Wood< no role > & John Bell< no role > taken
before me one of his Majestys Instent of the
wan for the said County.

Who being sevl, on Oath say & first the Ins Wn. Wood
for himself south That he was last night in Company [..] with som
of his County folks at a public house in King as Yord
was the P Can house where he met with two persons
now present who calls themselves Martin Noel &
John Lenton< no role > and the sd. Noel told this Ins he was in
bad Company & asked him to go & drink a pot of Berr
at and house & he went with the sd. Noel Lenton< no role > to the
angel in Charles street Cod Gardan and the sd. Noel asked
for a Private Room & they went up Stairs and the sd Noel
asked this Inst. to Play at Cacds which this Ins agreed to [..]
and accordingley Playd at all fours but upon the Landlord being asked for Cards
he sayd he had no Cards & wod, matter no Card Playing in his house
and the in the sd. Noel proposed husling in a Hatt which this
Ins comply'd with & busled half peace in a Hatt with the sd.
Lenton & Saith that the Going was for figuer only & no money
Played for and this Ins lost half a Crowns worth of Ligner &
then he refused to play anymore And then Ins Pulled out his
Purse in order to pay for the Liquor (which Purse [..] he had
Pulled out in the fore senn of the sd. Noel & Lenton at the former
house) & upon turning his Money out of his Purse on the
Table the said Lenton matched upthea Guinea and the sd
Noel took up the rest of the money amounting to Seventeen Shillg And uper this Ins
asking for his money the said Lenton damn'd him & said
he wod. keep it & that this Ins might go & he damned
and then they attempted to go down stairs which the Ins
prevented & went himself down stairs & Informed the
