The free and voluntary Examination Information
and Confession of Ann Halbard< no role > of the parish
of StPaul [..] Mary White Chapel in the
County of Middx Spinster Taken before me
one of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the
said County this 17th. day of October 1761

This Examination upon her Oath sayth, that she is
Apprentices to Mary James< no role > of the parish aforesaid
dealer in Cloathes , and that about four months ago
she this examinant by and through the advice
and persuasion of Margaret Granston< no role > and with
the said Margaret Granston< no role > did feloniously steal
one linens gown in the shop of the said Mary James< no role >
the property of the said Mary; And farther that in
the space of two or three Days afterwards, she this
examinant and the said Margaret Granston< no role > did
feloniously steel in the shop of the said Mary James< no role >
one other linen gown the property of the said Mary
And farther that a few days afterwards she this
feloniously steal in the shop of the said Mary James< no role >
And this Examinant farther sayth, that about
seven months ago she this Examinant in company
with the said Margaret Granston< no role > did feloniously
steal in the shop of the said Mary James< no role > two linen
shirts her property. And this Examinant upon her
Oath farther sayth, that about two months ago she
this Examinant in company withof Ann Calmer< no role > did
feloniously steal in the shop of the said Mary James< no role >
two Pettycoats her property.
