Upon reading the appeale of the Churchwardens & Overseers
of the poor of the parish of Cheshunt in the County of
Hertford against an Order Under the hands & Seales of
Roger Smith< no role > & John Steuart< no role > Esqrs. two of her Maties. Justices
of the peace fo the County of Middx (Quorr unus) bearing
date the sixth day of February last whereby Ann Newton< no role >
aged about nine yeares Sarah Newton< no role > aged about six
yeares William Newton< no role > aged about four yeares & Elizabeth
Newton< no role > aged about two yeares (being the daughters & son
of william Newton< no role > & Ann< no role > his wife both deced) were
removed from the parish of st. Sepulcres without in the sd.
County of Middx to the sd parish of Cheshunt in the County
of Hertford as the place of their settlemt. It was Ordered
by this Court that the Churchwardens & Overseers of
the poor of the sd. parish of st. Sepulcres [..] & all other parties
concerned should attend this Court on this day to heare
& abide the Judgmt. & determinacon of this Court touching
the sd. appeale, Now upon mocon made unto this Court by
Mr. Hancock of Councell for the Churchwardens & Overseers
of the poor of the sd parish of st. Sepulchres who alledged
that they cannot be prepared to maintain & make good the
aforesaid Order of removeall at this present Sessions, and
therefore prayed that the hearing & determining of the
sd appeale may be adjorned Untill the next Generall
Quarter Sessions of the peace to be held for the sd County
of Middx, Which allegacon appearing to be true This Court
on hearing of what was insisted upon by Mr. Darnall of
Councell for the Churchwardens & Overseers of the poor
of the sd parish of Cheshunt Doth Order that the [..]
