Colonies or Plantations an Overseer to take the management
and direction of such Male Persons as by virtue of and pur [..]
to the said Statute shall at any Session of Oyer and Terminer or
Goal Delivery or at any Quarter or other General Session of the
Peace for any County Riding Division City Liberty Borough
Town or place within that part of Great Britain called Engla [..]
or any Court held for the same places with like authority be [..]
and adjudged to be punished by being kept to hard Labour in the
raising Sand Soil and Gravel from and Cleansing the River
Thames or any other Service for the benefit of the Navigation of
the said River for such Term of Years as such Male Person
shall by such Court and Courts as aforesaid be respective
ordered and adjudged Subject to the directions and Condition
in the said Act Contained and in all other respects according
the True intent and meaning of the said Statute Whereupon
Mr. Campbell being called in he was acquainted with this
Resolution of the Court and accepted of the Appointment

It being observed that there was no provision
made in the act in whom the Custody of the Convicts should
vest in Case of the death of the Overseer It was moved and
Seconded that another overseer be appointed for the purpose
last mentioned and this being agreed to Mr. Campbell recommended
to the Court Neil Campbell< no role > of Woolwick in the County of Ken [..]
Gentleman and Brother to the said Mr. Duncan Campbell< no role >
to the choice of the Justices for that purpose only Whereupon
was moved and Seconded that the said Nail Campbell< no role > be
appointed one of the Overseers under the said Act on the same
Conditions and under the same agreements on his part as the
said Duncan Campbell< no role > has been appointed and the same
being agreed to It is like manner hereby ordered accordingly

And immediately afterwards a motion was [..]
and Seconded that it be referred to the Prison Committee to take
into Consideration the said Act of Parliament and Report [..]
the other parts thereof can be carried into Execution and the [..]
being agreed to It is ordered that the said Committee do [..]
for the purpose aforesaid at Hicks Hall on Wednesday [..]
at Eleven of the Clock in the forenoon precisely
