October 1776

After debate this Question was withdrawn and it was then
moved that the Treasurer for this County do refuse to pay
the Sum of Money mentioned in and ordered to be paid by the
abovementioned order of the Westminster Sessions and the
same was agreed to [..]

It was also moved that if any Action or Judicial proceeding
be brought against the Treasurer for this County for on in respect
to the order made upon him by his Majesty's Justices of the
Peace for the City and Liberty of Westminster in their quarter
Session's assembled bearing date the 10th. of October Instant
for the payment of a certain Sum of Money therein mentioned to
Mr. William Frederick Glover< no role > he be supported in and defended
from all Expences and consequences thereon attending and
the same was agreed to

It was also moved that a Case be laid before the Attorney
General for his Opinion whether under the Statute of the 14th
of the present King for preserving the health of Prisoners in Goal
and preventing the Goal Distemper Tothill fields Bridewell
as a Goal or Prison within the meaning of the said Statute
after debate thereon on holding up of Hands it was declared
to be carried in the Negative

at Hicks Hall in Saint John Street on Friday
the Fifteenth day of November in the Seventeenth
