By Adjournment on same Thursday the 11th. July
1765 .

This Court doth Appoint Mr. James Jefferson< no role > of Chancery
Lane in the County aforesaid being Treasurer of the same County
to be Receiver of the Rents of the Estates be [..] ing to the County
aforesaid in the stead and Place of John Higgs< no role > deceased late Receiver
And doth hereby empower and Authorize him the said James.
Jefferson from time to time to receive the Rents of the said Estates
of and from the Tenants of the same respectively and to give
receipts for the same under his hand for the Justices of the Peace
of this County Which receipts shall from time to time be
sufficient discharges to the said Tenants for their respective
Payments and the Moneys to be received by the said Treasurer
on Account of the Rents aforesaid are to be Subject to the Orders
of the Court of General Quarter or General Sessions of the
Peace for the said County touching the application and
disposal thereof

Know all Men by these Presents that I James Jefferson< no role > of
Chancery Lane in the County of Middx Gentleman
am hild and firmly bound unto Thomas Lane< no role >
Bartholomew Hammond< no role > Benjamin Cowley< no role > and
Christopher Scott< no role > Esquires Justices of our Lord
the King assigned to keep the Peace in the County of
Middx aforesaid in One Thousand Pounds of lawfull
Money of Great Britain to be paid unto the said
Thomas Lane< no role > Bartholomew Hammond Benjamin
Cowley and Christopher Scott< no role > or to their certain
Attorney Extors or Admors to which payment well
and truly to be made I bind myself my beirs
Exors and Admors firmly by these Presents
Sealed with my Seal And be it further known
to all Men by these Presents that we John Horne< no role >
of Wokingham in the County of Berks Merchant
and Edward Curteis of Fenchurch Street London
Apothecary are held and firmly bound unto the
above named Justices in Five hundred Pounds
of Lawfull money of Great Britain to be paid to
the said Justices or to their certain Attorney
