By Adjournment Thursday the 17th. of Janry 1765
To make a referrence
to the Division before
any High Constable be
reelected.}
It is ordered that for the future when any three years for which,
any High Constable in this Court shall be elected shall be near expired
It is ordered that it shall be referrd by the Session to the Justices of the
Peace residing in the Division for which he shall serve to nominate and
return to the ensuing Session a Proper Person or Proper Persons the bitter to
enable the Court to elect and appoint fit Persons to Execute the said Office And
that no election of an High Constable be had without such referrence to or a
Previous recommendation from the Division

this County is to continue in his Office longer than three years unless he be re-elected
by virtue whereof

who was elected in the Month of February one thousand
seven hundred and Sixty two will go out of his said Office in the Month of February
next unless re-elected at the next Session of the Peace It is therefore now ordered
that it be and it is hereby recommended and referr'd to his Majesties Justices of
the Peace for the said County acting in the said Division to meet together and
consider of and return to the Court at the next Session on the County day of the said
Session a fit and Proper Person to serve the Office of High Constable
of the said
Division for the three years next ensuing the expiration of the Term for which
the said Mr Hurford the Present High Constable
was last elected.
