Court on Mr. Palmer
not coming.}

Mr. Palmer although wrote to by the Clerk of the peace of this County
desiring he would Dine with Mr Chairman and the rest of His Majesty's
Justices of the peace for this County upon this Day, as well as on sevl.
preceding County Days of the Sessions; to answer a Complaint against him
relating to the pamphlet intituled Thoughts concerning the Administration
"of Justice by those who make the Magistracy a Trade Cr. which has been
laid before and examined and Cenvised by the Sessions; has not thought
proper to Comply, before, or this Day, to such request; but a Letter was now
produced from him in answer, to that last sent, which being read this Court
is unanimously of opinion that the said Letter now received from the said
Mr. Palmer is full of Contempt of the Sessions.

It is Ordered by this Court that is be and it is hereby recomened-
ded and referred to Thomas Lane< no role > Esquire Chairman John Derbyshire
Birkhead
< no role > Bartholomew Hammond< no role > George Greene< no role > Paul Mombray< no role >
William Timbrell< no role > Hammond Crosse< no role > and Thomas Smith< no role > Esquires and to
such other of His Majesty's Justices of the peace for this County and
any three or more of them to meet as a Committee on the affairs
of this County at Hicks Hall on Tuesday the eighth Day of January
next by nine of the Clock in the Morning to go on business at Ten pre-
cisely And that among other Things for the welfare of this County they
will Examine the Orders Duplicates of passes and Certificates relating to Vagrants
layd before this Court in pursuance of the Order of Session of the
first Day of March last which Orders Certificates are to be
the produced to the said Commee And it is further Ordered that
Richard Hassell< no role > Esqr and Samuel Bever< no role > Esqr two of His Majesty's
Justices of the peace for this County who have Acted contrary to
