1759.

By Adjournment on Thursday the 12th. day of July .

Order referring a certain pamphlet
to the Conson of a Committee appointed,
and that the Qualifications of the
Justices be laid before such Comee
and that a circular Letter be sent
to them all a Week before the
meeting of such Committee

The Report of the Committee who met the fourth of June last on the
Affairs of this County was read and approved of and the Clerk of the Peace
being called on to know whether Mr Palmer has left with him the pamphlet
mentioned in the said Report and which the Committee requested Mr.
Palmer to leave with him acquainted the Court no such pamphlet had
been delivered to him Mr Harvey then acquainting the Court he had
procured one of the said Pamphlets the same as was ordered to be read
and the Court came to the following Resolution That the Pamphlet
be referred to the Consideration of the Committee appointed to meet the
fourth day of september next and that they inquire into the facts
therein States and charged and Report their Opinion as to such
Facts and as to the said Pamphlet the next county Day, And it is
further Ordered that the Qualifications of the Gentlemen in the
Commission of the Peace of this County be laid before the Committee
at their meeting and that a Circular Letter be wrote to the Gentlemen
in the Commission at least a week before the Day of Meeting and it be
incerted to be on very special Affairs and wherein the Honour of the
Commission and the General Good of this County are concerned.

Order for a Committee to
meet to go to clerkenwell
Bridewell & New prison to
see if prisoners discharged
pursuant to Orders}

It is Ordered that a Committee of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace of this
County be appointed to meet on Tuesday next after every Session by
of the Clock in the forenoon at Hicks Hall and from thence to go to new
Prison and the House of Correction at Clerkenwell to see that the Prisoners
be discharged pursuant to their Orders on the Gaol Delivery Day of the
Session.

Brown

Hundred of Edmonton }

Whereas Edward Bird< no role > was in OctoberSession 1754
appointed High Constable within the Hundred of Edmonton and since by
reason of failure in his Circumstances in rendred incapable of Executing
the said office This Court doth thereupon appoint Jonathan Brown< no role > of
Enfield
