Copys of the Standing
Order of the Court for
Suppressing unlawfull
Fairs.}

Whereas an Order was made at the General Quarter Sessions of
the Peace holden for the County of Middx in the Month of April
One thousand Seven hundred and forty eight for the Suppressing of
a pretended Fair called Tottenham Court Fair and other
Unlawfull Fairs therein mentioned, which Order was declared
to be a Standing Order of the Court and So to continue, It
is Ordered by this Court that One thousand Copys of the Said
Order be forthwith printed and that a Sufficient Number
thereof be from time to time delivered to the respective High
Constables as occasion may require which they are to post
up or cause to be posted up in proper places for the
Notification thereof, and they are to put the Same in
Execution against Such Persons as Shall offend against
the Same.

Order for viewing the
wart of Repairs at the
House of Correction at
Clerkenwell Etc}

Information being given unto this Court that the House of
Correction at Clerkenwell in this County is every much out of repair
And an Account in Writing hereunto annexed being laid before
this Court mentioning the Same to be an Account of what wants
repairing in Clerkenwell Bridewell , It is Ordered by this
Court that it be And It is hereby recomended and referred unto
Boulton Mainwaring< no role > Esqr . and Such other Justice of the Peace
for this County as he Shall desire to be present and Shall be
present with him upon this Occasion to take a view of the Said
House of Correction , and to take to their Assistance Such able
Workman as they Shall think fit, and to inspect the Said
Account, and See what Repairs are wanting & necessary to be
done to the Said House of Correction and to make an Estimate
of the Charge of doing the Same, And to cause Such Repairs
to be done thereto as they Shall at present think necessary to be
imediately done to the Same, And to make their Report touching
the Premisses to the Court of the next General Quarter Session
of the Peace for the Said County.
