do continue & elect the Said

of the General Quarter and General Sessions of the Peace to be
holden for the County of Middx between Lady day 1749 and
Michaelmas then next ensuing.

Order for laying a Case
before St. John Strange< no role >
Knt.
concerning the relieving
Sick Vagabonds.}
A Debate happening in this Court concerning the Charge and
Expence of Maintaining a Vagabond who is or Shall be ordered to
be conveyed by a Peace Officer by virtue of a Pass under the hand
and Seal of a Justice of the Peace
to the place of his legal Settlemt.
and Shall in the way thither fall very Sick insomuch that there is a
Necessity of leaving Such Vagabond in the Parish Hamlet or Liberty
where So taken Sick until he is in a Condition to be further conveyed,
And a Question ariseing whether the Charge & Expence of relieving
and maintaining Such Vagabond in his Said Sickness ought to be
born & defrayed by the County of Middx out of the County Rate
Money or by the Churchwardens & Overseers of the Poor of the
Parish Hamlet or Liberty wherein Such Vagabond is taken
Sick and left, This Court doth not think proper to proceed to a
Determination thereof, But doth Order that a Case concerning
the Said Matter be drawnup and laid before St.
