It appearing to this Court by Certificate Dated this thirteenth Day
of January instant under the Hands of Joseph Goddard< no role > and
George Fowke< no role > Esquires Justices of the peace of this County (being
of the Committee of his Majesties Justices of the peace for stating
and adjusting the publick Accounts of the said County) that they
have perused the Account of Mr. Henry Wallbanck< no role > Keeper of
the House of Correction at Clerkenwell in the said County
beginning the fourth Day of December 1742 and ending the
third Day of January in the same Year and that they have
examined the same with the Vouchers and find that the Sum
of Fifteen pounds ten Shillings and Six pence is due unto
the said Henry Wallbanck< no role > upon the said account for the passing
and relieving of Vagrants & Vagabonds untill the said third
Day of January aforesd. inclusive And the sd. Henry Wallbanck< no role >
praying that he may be paid the Same It is Ordered by this
Court that Mr. John Higgs< no role > Trearer of this County do pay the
aforesaid Sum unto the said Henry Wallbanck< no role > in full of
the Moneys due to him upon the said Account. for the passing
and relieving of Vagrants & Vagabonds untill the said third
Day of January aforesd. Inclusive And that the sd. Trearer be
allowed the same upon his account

appointing Mr. Willm. Combs< no role >
High Constable within the
Hundred of Gore in Stead
of Mr. Michael Howard< no role > }

Whereas Michael Howard< no role > High Constable within the Hundred of
Gore in the County of Middx hath Exhibited his Humble petition
unto this Court setting forth That he hath served the Office of High
Constable within the said Hundred for the Space of three Years
And that he haveing a Great Deal of Business of Mannage and
Transact cannot attend the Duty of High Constable as he ought
to do And that he hath Collected and paid all the publick Money
to the Trearer of this County And the petitioner praying that
another person may be appointed high Constable in the place
and stead of the petitioner to the end he may be discharged from
his said Office This Court being satisfyed of the Truth of the
premisses Doth appoint William Combs< no role > of the parish of Hendon
within the said Hundred in this County Gent to be high
Constable within the said Hundred of Gore in the place and stead
of the said Michael Howard< no role > the petitioner And doth Order that
the said william Combs< no role > do forthwith (after Notice of this Order) attend

four of his Majestys Justices of the peace for this County residing
in or near the said Hundred or one of them or some other Justice.
of the peace residing in or near the same Hundred And take his
Oath before the said four Justices or one of them or other Justices
as aforesaid for his due Execution of the Office of High Constable
within the said Hundred of Gore And from and after the time of
his haveing taken such Oath the said Michael Howard< no role > is to stand
absolutely discharged from being high Constable within the said
Hundred.
