of the Said Bridge and for damages and rent of houses,
which the Committee pray may be read for the Court to do
therein as they Shall think proper, which Account is in the
Treasurers hands ready to be produced to this Court, All which
the Committee humbly Submitt, This Court upon reading
the Said Report and hearing of the Said Contractors Doth ratify
& confirm the Said Report, And the Same is hereby ratifyed &
confirmed accordingly, And as to the Said further account for
measuring of the Said Bridge, and for damages, and rent
of houses, abovementioned in the Said Report This Court
doth referr it to the Committee of Justices of the peace of
this County formerly appointed to take care of and give
directions concerning the new building the Said Bridge
or any three of them to consider State & adjust what Sum
of money is in their Judgment due or fit & proper to be
allowed to each person respectively for the Same, and to
whom by name, And to make their Report in writing
touching the Premisses to the Court of Sessions of thepeace
peace for this County.

& trouble in relation
to Brentford Bridge .}

A Letter dated the Eighth day of September instant to the Chairman
of this Court from Mr. Charles Labelye the Engineer & Surveyor
appointed by the Court of Sessions of the peace for this County to
direct the manner & Superintend the new building of
Brentford Bridge in this County being now produced & read,
It is mentioned by the Said Letter That he was Ordered at the
last Sessions to lay before this Court an account of his demand
relating to Brentford Bridge , In obedience to which he humbly
begged leave to mention That he hath had the honour of
being employed as Engineer & Surveyor of the Said Bridge
ever Since October 27th, 1739, That he hath attended (according
to Order) the Sessions and the Brentford Bridge Committees
ever Since May 1740, That he hath design'd and conducted the
building of the Said Bridge till it was finished in June last,
and attended the works as often as necessary, During
which time his travelling and other charges have cost him
upwards of £30: As to what may be thought a proper
Compensation for his time & trouble he doth intirely
Submitt it to the Court, This Court upon consideration of
the Said Letter Doth Order That it be And It is hereby
