In Pursuance of the above mentioned Order We have
taken Mr. John Higgs< no role > the Treasurers Accounts And do
report that it appeared to us from the Cash Account that
there was due to Ballance to the County £154..0s..1d. And that
the Said Treasurer received of the Arrears of the last Account
£81..14s..2d And that the Said Treasurer Charged himself with
the last Rate being £1600. making in all together £1835..14s..3d
And that it appears to us by Orders Receipts and Vouchers that
the Said Treasurer has Disbursed and paid thereout £1809..11s..3d
And that there remains now in his hands to Ballance only
£26..3s..0d Your Committee further Report that upon the last
Rate for £800. all the rate has been Collected and Received by
your Trear (Except the Tower Liberty which amounts to
£5..12s..1s, And the parish of Shepperton and Laleham which
amounts to £2..15s..10d) And that upon this Rate there are
Difficiences of the Parishes and places following (Vizt.) the
Parish of Pancras £15..3s..4d The Liberty of the Tower £11..4s..2d
Part of Kensington Division £8..1s..4d Spelthorne Hundred
£6..10s..8d And the Hundred of Isleworth £23..11s..8d Making
together the Sum of £64..11s..2d Which your Committee is
Informed by your Treasurer that part of the Said Arrears
will be Collected and paid And that the Tower Liberty will not
pay And that the High Constable of Isleworth Hundred has
received the whole or part of the Said Rate and is Insolvent
and in the Fleet Prison And that the £23..11s..8d will be lost to this
County All which appears in the Entry of your Treasurers
Book of Accounts ready to be produced to the Court Dated this
Ninth day of September 1742.
