Order desiring that
Edwd. Barker< no role > Esqr . will
be pleased to be Chairman
of the Court in the room
of Thos. Lane< no role > Esqr .

His Majestys Justices of the peace for the County Middx
now Assembled at this present General Sessions of the peace
holden for the said County Do desire that Edward Barker< no role > Esquire
will be pleased to be Chairman of the General Quarter and
General Sessions of the peace to be holden for the same County
between Michaolmas One Thousand Seven Hundred and
thirty nine and Easter then next following in the stead and place of
Thomas Lane< no role > Esquire the present Chairman.

Order of Sessions for
altering the Days
formerly appointed
for holding October
Sessions 1739}

It is Ordered by this Court that the time which was formerly
appointed for holding the next General Quarter Sessions of the
Peace for Middx be altered, And that the same Sessions do
begin and be holden at Westminster Hall on Thursday the
Eleventh day of October 1739, and be from thence Adjorned, and
that the same be holden at Hicks Hall on Friday the twelfth
Saturday the thirteenth Monday the Fifteenth Tuesday the
Sixteenth day of October and so from day to day until the
business of the Sessions be dispatched, And that the said Order
be printed in one or more of the Publick News Papers for the
Publick Notification thereof,

Report of the
Comtee about
Chertsey Bridge }

We whose Names are hereunder written being with others
by an Order of the Genl. Session of the Peace held for this
County this 7th. day of June last appointed a Comtee &
Directed to take a View of such part of Chertsey Bridge as is
in this County & to take an Account of what Repairs are
wanting and Necessary to be done thereto Beg leave to report
that we together with Mr. James King< no role > of St. Martins Lane
an Able and Experienced Builder Did on the 30th. day of July
last Carefully View and Examine the sd. Bridge & thereupon
were of Opinion as follows

1st.

That such part of ye. sd. Bridge as is within ye. County of a
Middx is very much out Repair that all ye. Railing &
Planking ought to be Imediately New made Two Old Piles
Drawn & New ones Drove down.
