Order for electing
officers (who have
offices of profit) under
the appointmt. of the
Justices, by way of
Balloting}

It is Ordered by this Court that the Election of House keeper of
Hicks Hall and Cryer of the General Quarter and General
Sessions of the peace for this County to be this day made,
and also the Election of Such House keeper & Cryer and of
the Keeper of New Prison , and Keeper of the House of
Correction at Clerkenwell in this County, or any other
officers (who have offices of profit) under the nomination
& appointment of the Justices of the peace for this County
to be hereafter made Shall be by way of balloting and
not otherwise, any former Order of the Court of General
Quarter of General Sessions of the peace for this County
to the contrary in any wife not withstanding.

delilvered to the

the new Housekeeper
Etc}

Whereas his Maties Justices of the peace for the County
of Middx assembled at this present General Sessions
of the peace holden at Hicks hall in Saint John Street
in & for the Said County by adjornment on this present
Thursday the Seventeenth day of February instant
have constituted & appointed Andrew Osborne of
Hoxton in the parish of St. Leonard Shoreditch in the
Same County Esqr . to be House keeper of Hicks hall
aforesaid and also Cryer of the General Quarter and
General Sessions of the peace for the Said County in
the place & Stead of Thomas Bromley< no role > Gent late
Housekeeper of Hicks Hall aforesaid and Cryer of the
Said Sessions who hath this day resigned his Said
places of Housekeeper and Cryer) And the Said Mr.
Bromley haveing desired to be repaid Several Sums
of money mentioned in his bill of particulars
amounting together to twenty pounds four Shillings
& Seven pence half penny which he alledged to have
been by him disbursed for Several repairs done to
Hicks hall , for insureing the Same against fire, and
other payments on account of Hicks Hall And he
having also prayed to have the Bond delivered up
which was by him given for keeping of Hicks hall
