And for the Bavins Gravel Labour in getting and
Spreading it and the Carriage the Weather proving very Wett
and the Tides high and the ways at both ends of the said bridge
wanting very much to be repaired to make the same
passable We could not Contract for any Summ certain by a
reason of the Impossibility of knowing what quantity of
Materials would be wanting or how many Labourers
necessary to be Employed But did Agree with John Cheney< no role >
of Ealing to find such Materialls and Carriages and to Employ
such Labourers as should be necessary Who when he
made the said bridge or Causey & had repaired the
said Ways leading thereto was forced Continually for five
Weeks Constantly to Attend to fill up the holes and
foundrous places Occasioned by the Heavy Carriages
and the Constant Flux and reflux of the Tide a Bill
of the Charge and Expence thereof Amounting to
£18:11s:7d (which we Adjudge to be very reasonable)
together with a plan of the said Bridge being here unto
Annexed

And For as much as the said William Butler< no role > , and
they the said John Cheny< no role > have Effectually performed
their Covenants and Agreements We therefore Desire
that this Court will please to Order the Moneys due to
them to be forthwith paid to them That We may be
Discharged from the Covenants and Agreements by us
Entred into with them for the payment thereof
And that our Reputations which are also at Slake
for the payment may not be Stained by any Delay
Dated Under our hands the Sixth day of December
in the Year of our Lord 1736
