Saunders have both of them made their escape out of the
Said House of Correction, And this Court being of opinion that
the Said matter Should be inquired into Doth Order that it
be And His hereby recommeded and referred unto Nicholas

Committee to assemble & meet together, And to Summon
before them the Keeper of the Said House of Correction and
Such other persons as they on this occasion may think proper,
And to inquire when how, and after what manner the Said
Prisoners made their escapes out of the Said prison, And
if Such escapes were by meanes of the weakness of the
Said prison, or by default of any person or persons, and of
whom, And also to inquire (if the Said Committee Shall
think proper) if any other Prisoner or Prisoners, and who
by name, have escaped out of the Said Prison, and how
Such escape or escapes happened, and if by default of any
person or persons, and of whom, And to make their Report
touching the premisses to the Court of General Quarter or
General Sessions of the peace to be holden for this County.
