that office for neare twenty years without the least complaint
against her of any misbehaviour, and that during above ten
years last past she was soe infirme as not to be able to officiate,
And that therefore the peticoner for all that time & Some yeares
before officiated for her whereby the peticoner became perfectly
knowing in the busyness of her place, And the peticoner praying
that this Court will be pleased to appoint her to be Matron of
the said House of Correccon in the room of her said late Mother,
This Court being Satisfyed of the truth of the premisses Doth
nominate & appoint the said Elizabeth Bourman the peticoner
to be Matron of the said House of Correccon at Clerkenwell in
the room & place of her said late Mother deced To have hold
execute & enjoy the said office, place or employment of
Matron And alsoe to have & to hold the Rooms & apartment
with the [..] appurtenances in the said House and all
priviledges & advantages belonging to or heretofore enjoyed
by the Matron of the said House Together with the Salary of ten
pounds P Ann which is hereby Ordered to be allowed to the
peticoner as Matron of the [..] said House for her trouble and
paines in & about the performance of her busyness as
Matron of the said House and payable by the Keeper of New
prison at Clerkenwell , dureing soe longtime only as the
Justices of the peace of this County or the major part of them
shall think fit, which yearly salary is to be paid to her dureing
her continuance in the said office or employment of Matron
by the Keeper of New prison aforesaid by quarterly
payments(vizt.)at Midsumer, Michmas, Christmas &
Lady day, the first quarterly payment thereof to be
made to her on Midsumer day now next ensueing, which
yearly salary the present Keeper of new prison is by the
tenor of his Admission of Keeper obliged to pay, as hath
been heretofore done by the former Keepers of new
prison aforesaid in the like case,

Informacon being given unto this Court by William Cotesworth< no role >
Esqr . one of his Maties Justices of the peace for this County and
Treasurer of the moneys ordered to be raised, within the same
County for passing of Vagrant that Several considerable
Sumes of money are due to divers Constables in this County
for their trouble & expences in conveying & releiving of
Vagrants, And that the said Constables are necessitous &
