proposall should be approved of by this Court he would
undertake immediately to discharge the debt of one
hundred and eleven pounds four Shillings & eleven
pence due at Christmas, who for that purpose made a
Second proposall in writing, which was approved of by
the said Committee, (Vizt.) Inconsideracon of ten pounds P
Ann for the whole term of twenty one years, to be added
to the said, Seventy pounds, making together eighty pounds
P Ann to commence from Easter day one thousand Seven
hundred and thirty to discharge the debt of one hundred
& elven pounds four Shillings & eleven pence that was
due on the toll at Christmas One thousand Seven
hundred and twenty nine, The produce of the current
quarter (after the charges incurred for Salarys,
Collector, Toll post, Clerks and Advertisements are
Satisfyed) to be paid to the said John Mist< no role > , And the
said Committee by their said Report further certify
that the said Mr. Mist is ready immediatly to carry
both the said proposalls into execution by entring into
a contract for that purpose And to give Security (if
required) for the due & faithfull performance of the
covenants therein contained, which when executed
and an Order of Court made for the payment of
eighty pounds P Ann quarterly or otherwise
Sufficiently Secured to him he is ready immediately to
new pave the Hay market , and to discharge the said
debt, And the said Committee doe further Report that
they did cause the Toll posts at the Upper end of the
Hay market to be removed about thirty five foot
higher than at first it was placed Since the proposall
was made by Mr. Mist, which the Committee are of
