them, And if Such Pavior doe not amends Such defects in
days, Then anyof the Said Comittee
to cause it to be done and paid by the Collector out of the money
in his hands, And that a clause to this effect be incerted in the
Said contract, And the Said Committee Submitt it to the
consideracon of the Commission whether as the Surplus of the
Said, Toll or duty is by the Said Act 8 o. & 9 o. Willi tertij Vested in
the Justices of the peace for this County whether they may not
dispose of the whole Duty for a term of years without which
it will be worth no persons while to lay out So large a Sume
of money as is absolutely necessary to put the pavement
in good & effectual repaire, And if the Act be not thought
Sufficient for that purpose the Said Committee propose that
applicacon be made for that purpose to Parliament, Now
upon reading of the Said Report, and on taking the Same
into consideracon This Court in order to the carrying the
matters and things therein proposed into execucon and for
the more effectual collecting the Toll for the future and to
the intent that the Same may be applyed to the use for
which it was granted by the Act of Parliament Doth
here by Order that the Salary of twenty pounds P Ann
which has been allowed to the Collector for his trouble
and paines in collecting the Said Toll doe from Easter day
next ensueing cease and determine, And that the Collector
for the time being of the money ariseing by the Said Toll
be from that time allowed (in liew of the Said Salary
of twenty pounds P Ann) four Shillings in the pound
out of the monys which Shall arise by the Said Toll for
his trouble and paines in and about his collecting and
receiving the Same and rendring an Account upon
Oath at every Easter Sessions of All and every Sume
and Sumes of money which he Shall have Received and
paid from the Easter day preceeding And this Court doth
Agree with the Comittee that the allowance of ten pounds
