Whereas the Justices of the peace for this County did on the
County day of the last Generall Sessions of the peace for the
Same County (to witt) Thursday the twenty eighth day
to August last omitt to elect a Chairman for the half
year then next ensueing, His Maties. Justices of the peace
for the said County now assembled at this present
Generall Quarter Sessions of the peace holden for the Same
County Doe Order that a Chairman be elected and doe
accordingly elect and continue William Cowper< no role > Esqr.
Chairman of the Generall Quarter and Generall Sessions
of the peace for this County for the remaining part of the
Said half year.

This Court considering that the Charge this day given by
William Cowper< no role > Esqr . the Chairman is an Excellent and
learned Charge very much tending to the propagacon
of vertue and to the discountenanceing of wicked and
irregular practices Doth (nemine contradicente) Order
that the thanks of this Court be and they are hereby
given to the Said Chairman for the same, And Doth desire
that he will be pleased to cause his Said Charge to be
printed,
