Whereas upon Information given unto the
Court of Generall Sessions of the Peace holden for
this County by adjornment on Thursday the
Fifth day of December last That (notwithstanding
the former Resolution and Opinion of the Court
of Sessions that the Patent granted of the Office
of Clerk of the Market of the Kings household
doth not extend any further than to the Kings
Palace and the Precincts thereof commonly
called the Little Virge) Yet the Deputys and
Agents of Thomas Robe< no role > and John Matthews< no role >
Esquires Clerk of the said Market did exact
Sumes of Money of Tradesmen and others in
this County under pretence of Weighing of their
Weights and Measureing of their Quarts
Pints and other Measures, And that Such
Proceeding was illegal and very oppressive
It was by an Order made by the Court of
the said Generall Sessions recommended and
