of the same, And to lay an account of the
expence thereof before the Court of Sessions
of the peace for this County, Now upon
informacon given unto this Court by the said
Mr. Cotesworth that it is requisite that some
small necessary repaires (over & above
the matters above menconed) should be
done to Hicks hall aforesaid, And that it will
be proper that he should have power to
advance & pay moneys for the doeing of the
same, It is Ordered by this Court that it be
And It is hereby recomended & referred unto
the said Mr. Cotesworth to cause such small
repaires as aforesaid to be done to Hicks
hall aforesaid, and to employ some proper
person or persons to doe the same, soe as the
charge thereof together with the other
matters directed by the said former order
doe not exceed the sume of ten pounds,
And to pay the persons employed to doe the
same as alsoe the said other matters the
moneys due to them for the doeing thereof,
soe as the moneys soe to be paid to them
doe not exceed the said sume of ten pounds
in the whole, And that the respective
receipts of such persons soe employed
shall be sufficient discharges to the sd. Mr.
Cotesworth for such respective payments,

obliged to beare
publick Offices Etc

Whereas It is expressed in an Order of his
Matie in Council bearing date the first
day of February 1728 that it is his Maties
pleasure that none of his servants in
ordinary with fee should be enforced or any
ways obliged to beare any publick Offices, serve
on Juries or Inquests watch or ward, or to
serve in the Militier in any places where
