Justices of the peace
for the County of Middx.
assembled at the Generall Sessions of the
peace holden at Hicks hall
in St. John Street
in and for the Said County by adjournment
on Thursday the nineteenth day of
December in the Year of our Lord 1728
Sheweth
That by an order of the Court of Generall Quarter Sessions
of the peace for the County of Middlesex
of the fourteenth day
of October last upon occasion of his Maties. comands
Signifyed by Letter from Your Lordship to the Justices of the
peace of the Said County to be Vigilant in Suppressing and
preventing of Such disorders as are the cause of the great
increase of Street robberys and other felonys It was referred
to a Committee of his Majesties Justices of the peace
for the
Said County therein particularly named to give Such Orders and
direcons. as they Should think proper for the better Execution of
his Maties. comands., And to consider of and lay before the
Court what other measures might be necessary or proper to be
pursued more effectually to answer the ends proposed, as
also to propose and lay before the Court Such Representacons
of any other matters or any difficultys or obstruccons in
this Service which Should appeare or occurr them To the
intent that Proper dirccons night be given or applicacon.
made thereupon, and that Such difficultys or obstruccons
might be thereby removed, We the Said Justices now
assembled in our Generall Sessions have received the
Report of the Said Committee Setting forth That they have
proceeded according to to the Said Order of reference to
answer the ends thereof in the best manner they were
able, And accordingly have assembled them Selves at
Hicks Hall
every Saturday from the twenty Sixth of
October to the thirtieth of November last inclusive,
