Francis Jenison< no role > Esqr .

The humble Representacon of his Maties.
Justices of the peace for the County of
Middx assembled at the Generall Sessions
of the peace holden at Hicks Hall in St. John
Street in and for the County of Middx by
adjornment on Thursday the nineteenth
day of December in the year of our
Lord 1728

Sheweth

That by an Order of the Court of Generall Quarter Sessions of
the peace holden for the County of Middx of the 14th. day of
October last upon occasion of his Maties. commands Signifyed
by Letter from the right honble. the Lord Viscount Townshend
one of his Maties. Principal Secretarys of State to the Justices
of the peace of the Said County to be vigilant in Suppressing
and preventing Such disorders as are the cause of the great
increase of Street robberys and other felonys, It was
(amongst other things) Referred to a Committee of
Justices of the peace for the Said County to prepare and lay
before this Court Such Representations of any matters or of
any difficultys or obstruccons in that Service which Should
appeare or occurr to them To the intent that proper
direccons might be given or applicacon made thereupon,
And that Such difficultys and obstruccons might be thereby
removed

That the Said Committee have Reported unto this Court
That they haveing met at Severall times from the 26th.
of October to the 30th. of November last inclusive, and
haveing in the course of their proceedings received
informacon of Some very extraordinary demeanour
of Francis Jension< no role > Esqr . one of his Maties. Justices of the
peace for this County manifestly (as they conceived)
calculated and tending to obstruct the due performance
of the Service as aforesaid enjoyned by his Majestie
