as well as in other parts of this County to build booths for
showing and acting such plays and Drolls and for carrying on
and encourageing of divers finds of unlawfull play and
gameing, And whereas all such players of Interludes are
deemed and declared Rogues and Vagabonds, and the Acting
of such plays and Drolls and the keeping of publique Garneing
Tables or Garneing houses are contrary to the Laws and Statutes
of this Realm, and do manifestley and directly tend to the
encouragement of vice and Immorality and to the
debauching and mining of Servants Apprentised and others
as well as to the disturbance of the publique peace by occasioning
quarrels riots and tumults and other Disorders, whereby it
will he very difficult for the Justiced and other civil Magistrates
and Officers of this County (if such practices are permitted) to
preserve the publique peace or to prevent of punish such
misdemeanours as may be comitted by such numbers of evil
disposed persons as doe usually meet at such places and on
such Occasions, For the preventing of which mischeifs and
disorders for the future It is thought fit and Ordered by this
Court that the high Constable of holborn Division in this
County doe forthwith issue forth his precepts to the petty
Constables of Tattenhoe als Tattenhall als Tottenham Court
and other the Constables and Headboroughs of the parish of
St. Pancras requiring them to give publique notice of this
Orderby affixing this Order on the most notorious places or by
such other ways and means as they shall think most proper
within their respective Divisions for the better notifications
hereof, And to the end that noe persons may pretend
ignorance And in case any of the said comon players of
interludes or others shall not withstanding shew or act any
such plays or Drolls or keep any Gameing houses of Gameing
Tables the said high and petty Constables and all other
Officers are hereby required to apprehend and carry them
before one or more of his Maties Justices of the peace for this
County dwelling nearest to the placed where any such Booths
or Gameing houses of Gameing Tables shall he erected or
erecting to the end they may be punished according to the
Laws in such case made and provided, And it is further Ordered
