a contract from William Butler< no role > of new Brentford in this County
Carpenter and John Mills< no role > of the parish of Littleton in the same
County Carpenter for the doeing thereof, who have by Articles of
agreement bearing date the thirtyeth day of June last under
their hands and seals made between them of the one part and
us the said Justices of the other part covenanted and agreed
for the sume sume of £600: well and sufficiently to rebuild the
aforesaid part of the said Bridge with good and sound taken
timber, piles, planks, Trussell heads, posts, rails, gravell, Joyners
worke, painting, Ironworke, and all other materialls of the
Scantlings and according to the method and manner specifyed
in the Account or estimate written under the said Articles, together
with all other worke and materialls as well not mentioned
therein as mentioned in a good substantiall and workman like
manner and to compleat and finish the same before the thirty first
day of October now next ensueing, (if the same can be done and
performed before that time) or as soon after as the same can be
conveniently done, and to find provide and use good sound and
sufficient oaken Timber, piles, planks and all other materialls
in and about the doeing of the said Worke, and to make and
preserve a convenient passage for Foot passengers passing and
repassing over the said Bridge during the continuance of the
said worke, they the said William Butler< no role > and John Mills< no role > being
at Liberty to use such of the old timber and materialls as shall
be Assigned to them by a Surveyer (to be by us appointed to
survey the said worke) as sound good and sufficient to be
used in the doeing thereof, and the residue of the old timber
and materialls over and above what shall be so assigned is to
be allowed to the said Butler and Mills for their owne use,
and wee doe further Certify that she said sume of £680: is in our
opinion a reasonable price for rebuilding the aforesaid part of
the said Bridge, and that £226:13s:4d: part thereof was
advanced and paid by Sr. Daniel Dolius< no role > Knt . Chairman of this
Court in pursuance of the said Order out of moneys by him
received of the Executor of Sr. Isaac Tillard< no role > Knt . deceased late
Treasurer of Bridge Money and other moneys in his hands unto
