Who saith that she did steal the Wearing Apparel and Plate from
the said John Dobison< no role >
as charged by him, which Theft she committed
by the Advice of Ruth Dean< no role >
and her Husband (John Dean< no role >
) who
live in Spread Eagle
Court Grays Inn Lane
and which said Dean
and his Wife stood at the bottom of the Stairs at No. 4 Inner Temple
Lane till this Examinant brought the Effects to them with which they
all three went through the Temple
to Fleet Ditch
where they got into
a Coach with Mr. Dobison's Effects and drove to the Borough
where
Dean discharged the Coach paying one shilling and six pence That
they all three went to a Public House up a Court in the Borough
where
they staid about two hours, during which time Ruth Dean< no role >
Pawned a
street
for four shililngs at Mr. Davidson's near Saint George's Church
and
a Shirt for five shillings at another Pawn brokers near that place That they then
took a Coach and came to Ludgate Hill
where Dean being drunk
got out That said Ruth Dean< no role >
and Examinant went to the bottom
of Holborn Hill
where said Ruth Dean< no role >
got out with the Effects of Mr.
Dobison saying that she knew a person in Oxford Street
who would
buy them and appointed this Examinant to meet her at the Wine
Vaults at the bottom of Holborn Hill
at Nine o'Clock the next morning
to receive her share of the Money for which the Effects were sold [..]
but to which place she did no go nor hath she since seen the said
Ruth Dean< no role >
or her Husband, nor can she tell what hath become of the
remainder of the Effects
