Informations of Witnesses taken at the
parish of Saint Bartholomew the less in the
Ward of Farrington without in London the
14th day of September 1786 on view of the
body of James Messenger< no role > then and there
lying dead

John Goodwin< no role > Edger at No. 15 Bottle lay Yard said
John Street< no role > Middlesex Labourer , maketh Oath that on Monday
morning last Dept saw a Bullock running along said John street
that it stopped of its own accord near the corner of Aylesbury street
at which place was a Man (unknown to Dept) standing behind a post
who, dared the Beast and waive his that at it to irritate it, an which
the Beast ran at him, but he stopped aside & the Beast passed him
and struck the dear who was then coming up Aylesbury street near
Mr Corner [..] with one of its Horns against the side of the street; and
the Beast ran on; says the deced appeared to be much here and
was taken to saint Bartholomews Hospital above Dept has since
seen him dead.

Thomas Ramsden< no role > of the Charter House Surgeon
Makett Oath that on Monday morning last he was called to see the
deced in Saint Bartholomew Hospital , says he had a large wound
on the Lower part of the right side of his belly, and the greates for
of his bowels won produced which were afterwards returned and the
wound served up and droped says the deced died on the Tuesday
afternoon following and that the aforesaid Wound was the occasion of
his death.
