Who being on their Oaths say and First the said John
Robertson< no role >
for himself on his Oath saith that he lives at
No. 11 in Great Hermitage Street
St George Middlesex
That on Friday last he received from William Nairn< no role >
(whohe now on [..]
is gone into Scotland
) the Hair Trunk now produced containing
property belonging to the said William Nairn< no role >
in Order
to Ship the same on Board a Ship called the thames
Commanded by Thomas Grindley< no role >
then lying at Hawleys
Wharf
. That on the same day he employed the person
now present who calls himself William Elliot< no role >
to carry
the said Trunk on Board the said Vessel and for that
purpose delivered it to him [..]

[..] saith that he believes the said William
Elliot did carry the said Trunk to his own House instead of carrying
the same on (Board as aforesaid
this Informant William Parker< no role >
for himself saith That he
is one of the Head boroughs
of the Parish of St. Margaret

Chapel
in the said County That last Night being on Duty
at the Watch house of the said Parish he received Information
of there being a Trunk suspected to have been Stolen at
a House in George Yard White Chapel
that he this Informant

) went to the said House and
in the Apartments to of the aforesaid person who calls
himself William Elliot< no role >
he found the large Hair Trunk
now produced containing Divers Articles of Wearing
Apparel & Linen now also produced.
And This Informant Joseph Blood< no role >
on his Oathsfor himself
saith that the Brown Cloth Coat now taken from off
the Body of the said William Elliot< no role >
is the property
of the aforesaid William Nairn< no role >
