was on or about the eleventh day of May One Thousand seven
hundred and eighty one duly elected and chosen an Elder
Brother
of the said Corporation and that he hath ever since been
and now is such Elder Brother And this Deponent
saith he hath
been informed and believes that by virtue of a Clause a Clauses
in a certain Charter of Confirmation Granted to the said Corporation
and by virtue of such choice as aforesaid the said William Davis< no role >
is exempted from serving on Juries Inquests and Inquisitions
otherwise than at Sessions of Admiralty
