Benjamin Comber< no role > Master of the Orphan Working
Schoolin the Orphan Working School in the City Road in the County of
Middlesex maketh Oath and Saith that this Deponent and James James< no role >
were in the Month of February last bound over to appear at the Session
to be held in the said February and prosecute Terrence Caffrey< no role > for stealing
lead from the said Orphan Working School , and also to prosecute John London< no role >
for receiving stolen Lead, And this Deponent Saith that according
to the best of his Recollection he heard from or was informed by Sir
Sampson Wright< no role > Knight and some others at the Public Office in Bow
Street that this Deponent could not prosecute the said John London
until the said Terrence Caffrey< no role > was convicted of stealing the said Lead
And This Deponent Saith that he did appear and prosecute the said
Terrence Caffrey agreeably to the said Recognizance and that the said
Terrence Caffrey< no role > was acquitted upon his Tryal, And this Deponent
further South that from what he had heard from the said Sir Sampson
Wright
< no role > and others this Deponent believed and was thoroughly persuaded
in his own Mind that he could not prosecute the said John London as
the said Terrence Caffrey< no role > had been discharged which was the only
Reason that this Deponent had for not prosecuting the said John
London pursuant to the said Recognizance
