John Gale< no role > of Broad Street in the City of London
Merchant maketh Oath and saith that in the Evening
of the second day of September last past, he left London
and went to Liverpool and other places upon Business
which detained him in the County until the Nineteenth
of the same Month, when he returned to London , and
was then informed that a Summons had been left for him
dated an or about the seventh of September last, directing
him Deponent to attend as a Juror, at the last September
Sessions hill at the Old Bailey . And the Deponent
further saith that he was not acquainted with or had
he the least Knowledge of the said Summons being
left for him until his return to London as above
mentioned
