The Information of John Sowerby< no role > , of the Mitre, Fishstreet
Hill London< no role > Victualler and Elizabeth Dags Servant
to the said John Sowerby< no role > Taken this 10th Day of May
1782

Informant Elizabeth Davis< no role > saith that the Prisoner
Catherine Hudson< no role > now under Examination came to this Informant
on Tuesday Morning last at her said Chusters House, and dashed
her if her Name was Betty Davis< no role > , and said she was come from
Mr Henson meaning are Informant believes a Prisoner in Woodstreet
Compter charged with Coming who wanted to see Informant that heesd
not be casy Night Day until he sd see her, and begged
Informt. wod not say any thing to her Chaster or Misteys , but go
along with her, Informant replied she could not go then, but wod
go the next Day of Ten o clock, upon which the Prisoner went
away That on the Wednesday Morning about Eleven O'clock the
Prisoner came again to Informant and asked her if she wod
go along with her, that Informant replied she could not go
then as her charter & Misters were from home that the Prisoner
then asked Informant That she meant to do, whether she wod
appear against Mr Stenson or not and that it wod be worse for her if he
did; Informant further south that the Prisoner Mary Carron< no role >
and a Joseph Morris< no role > now also under Examination, came to the
House of Informant said Master last Night; And the Risd
Mary Carron< no role > asked her if her Name was Davis, that
Informant replied it was, and the Prisoner then said she
was come there for a Supper, that Informant might go with
her to Mr Stenson and that she had heard Mr Gates had
offered Informant Twenty Pounds to Say some Particular
Words against Stenson (meaning as Informant believes) the
said Person charged with Coming and against where Informant
had been Examined as a Witness, but that Mr Stenson wod< no role >
make it better than Forty Pounds to her, of the Informant
wod. but go to him, that Informant Sayed she could not go
then but wod go the next Morning at Ten o Clock, that the
sd. last Prisoner repeated her request, and the Prisoner
Joseph Morris< no role > also desired Informant to go and that
