The joint and several Informations of Thomas
Swingburn of White Cross Street in the County of Middlesex
Skeleton Wire Maker William Abdy< no role > of Oat Lane
Noble Street , London, Goldsmith , and Thomas Gates< no role > one
of the Marshall of this City Who being on Oath
Severally say And First the said Thomas Swingburn< no role >
for himself saith, that Daniel Reynolds< no role > the Prisoner
now under Examination was a weekly Servant to Informant's
Mother Elizabeth Swingburn< no role > , and about Five Weeks
ago, he quitted the Service without any Notice and did
not returnSays, that a silver pint Mug was missed
the day Reynolds went away, and he not returning,
Informant had a Suspicion of himSays that on
looking at the bobbin of Silk now produced, he is
satisfied, the same is the Property of his Mothers and
was Feloniously taken away by the said Daniel
ReynoldsSays that he was present, when the
Apartments of Henry Samuel< no role > , the Prisoner now
under Examination was searched, and he saw the
bobbin of Silk was produced, taken out of Samuel's
Apartment
And the said William Abdy< no role > and
Thomas Gates< no role > for themselves severally say that
they went to the Apartment of Samuel in Gravel
Lane, and took the bobbin, of Silk thereoutthe
Said Thomas Gates< no role > saith, that before he went to
Samuel's Apartment, William Cooper< no role > , the Evidence
admitted for the Crown, described the bobbin, and
Colour of the Silk, and also informed him of the
two old rusty Swords and the Pistol now produced
being in Samuel's ApartmentInformant Gates
apprehended Samuel, who asserted his Innocence,
and said, he was a working Jeweller.
