on Friday last, when the Prisoner was brought
to her Husband's House< no role > after she was taken in
Custody , and then the said Elizabeth Carpenter< no role > ,
freely and voluntarily without any desire or
request then being made acknowledged, that
she took the said Tankard and Spoons out
of the Wash House, and had pawned them

And the said George Worthy< no role > for
himself saith, that on Thursday the twelfth
Instant, the Prisoner at the Bar , Elizabeth
Carpenter
< no role > , brought the silver Tankard now
produced, to pledge the same-Says, he
questioned her respecting it, and being satisfied
in his own Mind, that the same was, as she
declared, to be her own Property, and that it
was a Family Tankard, he lent and advanced
her three Guineas thereupon.

And the said George Whitling< no role >
for himself saith, that on Thursday the
twelfth Instant, the Prisoner now under
Examination, brought two silver Table Spoons
now Produced, and received Thirteen Shillings
upon the same-Says that she pawned them in
the name of Martha Blake< no role >

And the said William Edley< no role >
for himself saith, that on Thursday the
twelfth Instant, John Mervin< no role > his Apprentice
informed him, that the five silver Table
Spoons Informanthenow produces, were pawned in the
name of Elizabeth Carpenter< no role > , for one Pound
eleven Shillings and Six penceSays, that
on Friday last, the Prisoner came to Informants
Shop, and asked him for half a Guinea more
upon five silver Table Spoons, which her
Sister had pledged for one Guinea and a
halfInformant having received Intelligence
