for himself saith that on
or about the Tenth day of September in the Year of our Lord are
thousand seven hundred and seventy nine Five Thousand and
Twenty Bushels of English Refined Salt were shipped on Board the
said ship or Vessel called The Brig Betty whereof the said
Peter Sloan< no role >
was Master at Liverpool in the County of Lancaster
as appears to
this Deponent by the Invoice of the same in order to be conveyed
by Sea to the Port of London
for and on Account of this Deponent the
Owner of the said Salt And this Deponent saith that the Duty for
all the said Salt hath been paid to

And this
Deponent saith that he hath been informed and verily be

that on or about the Twenty eighth Day of the said Month of
the said Ship or Vessel with the said Salt on board her set Salt

was obliged to put the said Ship or
Vessel into the port of Newry
in the Kingdom of Ireland

for himself saith that on
about the Tenth Day of November thousand seven hundred
and seventy nine he was put on Board the said Ship or Vessel
called The Brig Betty as Cabin Boy at Newry
aforesaid and that
there then was a large Cargo of Salt on Board the said

Vessel and that on or about the Sixteenth Day of the said Month of
November the said Ship or Vessel with the said large of Salt on
Board not meeting with any Convoy set Sail from Newry aforesaid
