with the said Peter Sloan< no role > on Board as Master and Alexander Ferguson< no role >
as Mate and Sloan and Sloan the one being the
Uncle and the other Brother of the said Peter Sloan< no role > and Four
Foreigners as Mariners on Board the said Ship or Vessel and
arrived at Milsed Haver where she stayed a few Days and then
set Sail for the said Port of London with the said Cargo of Salt on
Board her And this Deponent saith that on or about the Twenty
Fifth Day of the said Month of November the said Ship or Vessel
being off Beachy Head the said Four Foreigners more upon the said
Peter Sloan< no role > and murdered him and the said Alexander Ferguson< no role >
and the said Sloan and Sloan and threw them overboard
and one of the said Foreigners endeavoured to threw this Deponent
overboard but he escaped and got into the Cabin of the said Ship
or Vessel and this Deponent saith that soon after the said Murders
had been committed a violent Storm arose and drove the said
Ship or Vessel with the said Cargo of Salt on board her on the Coast
of the Kingdom of France at Estapis being about Eleven Miles from
Boulogne And this Deponent saith that the said Four
Foreigners were there taken into Custody and sent to prison and
the said Ship or Vessel with the said Cargo of Salt on Board
her was taken a prize at Estapis aforesaid by certain persons
then being Subjects of the French King then and still being
Enemies of and at War with the King of Great Britain and
the said Cargo of Salt on board the said Ship or Vessel was sold
at Estapis aforesaid for the benefit of the French King as
this Deponent beleives And Lastly this Deponent the
