List And this Deponent further saith that while he was at
Dinner he was asked by a Friend of his whether he had prefer'd
an Indictment when on this Deponents replying that he had
not, he was then for the first time informed by his Friend that
it was necessary to prefer an Indictment on which this
Deponent imediately returned to the Old Bailey
in order to
get an Indictment against the said Margaret Mc Daniel< no role >
for
the said Offence and on his application for that purpose to
the Clerk of the Peace
he was informed that it was too late
for that the Grand Jury were Discharged, And this Deponent
further saith that he did not neglect to prefer an Indictment
against the said Margaret Mc Daniel< no role >
for any favour or
Affection towards her or for any reward or hope or promise
thereof but that he meant and intended to prosecute her
for the said Offence And that his neglecting to do so was
occasioned intirely by his ignorance of the proper method to
be taken.
