for himself Saith that he lives at the
Sign of the Coach and Horses
in Mutton Lane

that in January last he received a
Beating Order to Raise Recruits for General Rainsford
Regiment to go to Jamaica that about the 21st.
of March he was applied to by the Mother of Richard
Hutton which Richard Hutton< no role >
was then in confinement
in Newgate
for this Informant to go there to
Inlist him for the Jamaica Regiment as she told
this Informant that she had got a pardon for him
upon Condition of his going for a Soldier & told
him this Informant to apply for it at the Secretary
of States Office accordingly he went and obtained
it and paid the fees for the same at the said Office
And this Informant further saith that he took she
said pardon to Newgate and delivered to one of the
Keepers and the next day applied paid One Guinea
to the said Keeper and half a Guinea to the Recorders
Clerk is her the said Richard Hutton< no role >
was delivered
to this Informant for the purpose of Inlisting and
continuing to serve His Majesty< no role >
in his Lane
Serving say & that it was the 24th of March when
he took him out of Newgate this Informant took
