and saith that on Saturday last the 20th. day of July
inst. Dept. was applied to to examine the deced who
had been reported to have been drowned: that
thereupon the same day Dept. opened the Body of
the deced but found no Mark of Violence or Injury
upon any part of it, but upon opening of the Thorax
he found the Lungs distortedextendedto a great degree they
containing a great Quantity of Water and air
which prevented Respiration and consequently
preventthe Circulation of the Blood which was
the [..] efficient Cause of his Death

maketh Oath and saith that on Friday last abt. the
Hour of 4 in the Afternoon Dept. was sent for to attend
on [..] the deced who was said to have fell into the
River of Thames
at Queenhith
: that he instantly
repaired there, and found the deced lying on his
Belly upon a Table in the Tap Room at the Kings Arms
a Publick House there: that he appeared to be dead, but
on examining his Pulse at the Wrist Dept. found a
Pulsation; that the deced being confined in a close Room
he had him moved up one Pair of Stairs [..] and put on
a Table and Placed upon his Back his Head & Shoulders
being raised; that then Dept. made use of Frickins [..]
[..] and other means to recover the deced but to no purpose
[..] and the deced died in about two Hours afterwards
having been suffocated by Water geting into his Lungs
