WHEREAS Complaint has been made unto Us,
two of His Majesty's Justices of the Peace
for the
City of London
and Liberties thereof, one being of the Quo-
rum, by theChurch-Wardens andOverseers of the Poor of
the saidParish of
Precinct of Whitefryers
London, That Mary Woodcock< no role >
Widow
of William Woodcock< no role >
deced and their two Children Elizabeth< no role >
aged Fifteen Years
and Mary< no role >
aged Nine Years did
lately come to reside in their saidParish, Precinct not having obtain'd
any legal Settlement there, and are likely to become charge-
able thereto, unless timely prevented, which Complaint We
the said Justices, upon due Proof made thereof, as well upon
the Oath of the said Mary Woodcock< no role >
as otherwise, do
adjudge to be true; and we do also adjudge the last legal
Settlement of the said Mary Woodcock< no role >
and her
said two Children
to be in the said Parish of Saint Martin Ludgate
and that thither to they ought by Law to be sent.
These are therefore in His Majesty's Name to will and re-
quire you theChurch-Wardens andOverseers of the Poor of
the saidParish of
Precinct of Whitefryers
London, forthwith to remove and convey the said Mary
Woodcock and her said two Children
from and out of your saidParish Precinct unto the said Parish of
Saint Martin Ludgate
And them deliver unto the Church-Wardens and Overseers
of the Poor there, or to some or one of them, together with
this our Order, who is and are hereby required to receive
and provide for them according to Law. Given under
our Hands and Seals, this 16th Day of April
